If you have no children
The following are the divisions under faraidh if you have no children:
- If you leave behind a wife and no other faraidh heirs, your wife will be entitled to 1/4 of your estate. The remaining 3/4 will go to Baitul Mal (a charitable institution for the general good of the Muslim community which is administered by MUIS).
- If you have a wife and your parents are still alive, your wife will be entitled to 1/4 of your estate, your mother 1/6 and the remaining share will go to your father.
